I do notice ongoing fluctuations in my confidence barometer.  The belief, the doubt. The up-talk, the down-talk. All just noise.

Since I seem to have a choice, I prefer to pay attention instead to the itty-bitty teeny-weeny  nitty-gritty  stop-and-go  push-and-flow  yes-and-no  micro-decisions of the art process. Would rather trust to the rhythm of helter-skelter    hit-and-miss  work-and-mess   grimy-slimy.  The more. The less.  The chance fates of curiosity, luminosity, transformation. The upside-down. The underneath. The over-the-top.
